Sep. 8th, 2009 06:05 pmBlame this on the kink meme; the top two prompts on my "to write" list are for girl!Spock/McCoy and Spock/Reaper!McCoy. Combining them *seemed* like a good idea. Seriously, though, the things that meme is doing to me aren't even funny. I'm actually thinking about writing mpreg, and that hasn't been my thing since I was thirteen and reading Harry/Draco like there was no tomorrow. I might as well give in and write Kirk/McCoy, too. *facepalm*

Jul. 9th, 2009 09:49 pmThis entire thing should probably be prefaced with a brief explanation: Ever since I wrote this story, I've been desperate for some McCoy/Jocelyn fic. (Jocelyn, btw, is the name that most Star Trek novels give Bones' ex; I tend to go along with it, even if it isn't strictly canon, because "Jocelyn" can be shortened to "Joss" and that is a pretty fine name.) I'm not sure if this is inspired by Bones always wearing his wedding ring (at least, y'know, in my head canon) or a need to reclaim Jocelyn or what, but I'm kind of toying with the idea that they're still desperately in love, but for whatever reason couldn't make things work out.
Okay, so this is my awesome idea of the week: Lucy Lawless should play Jocelyn. I KNOW, RIGHT? I CAN'T BE ALONE IN THINKING THIS IS AWESOME.

If you haven't - let me tell you, it is an awesome show for the number of fandom references it packs into a single episode alone, not to mention the fantastic ensemble cast. The premise is that a street-savvy hopeful actress (Penny) moves in across from two roommates (Sheldon and Leonard), a pair of beautiful minds who share a workplace (Caltech) and an interest in all things geek. Leonard/Penny is the show's canon pairing, but Sheldon/Penny is ascendant, and for good reason.

Jun. 29th, 2009 02:40 pmSo here's the skinny: I started writing this Spock/McCoy story called "Heal Thyself," and I still absolutely adore the idea, but it's expanding in about eighteen new directions since I started writing it and I hate the title and there is no way the thing is going to be finished in five parts, so I'm restructuring the story and posting it in the same manner as my other (sadly neglected) WIP, which means one scene at a time, no beta, no crossposting, just whatever spills out of me that day. I'm editing and reposting the first two parts right now, and I'll make a note when new material starts appearing.

Jun. 19th, 2009 12:45 amWe finally have internet again (yay!), although I spent most of the day on the road and am way too tired to do anything but leave this here; it will remain technically unfinished until morning, at which point I will not only edit and finish it but send off beta'd stories to the three people who are waiting for a response. (Sorry for the delay, guys!) I was kind of anxious to get this up so I can get back to "Heal Thyself," which has mutated from a five-part complete story to a five-part prologue to another story wherein Spock and McCoy steal the Galileo (with Kirk's tacit permission) and take off on a renegade mission to save the universe save Spock's mommy spread the spirit of free manlove.
Anyway. Story. And then: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Although the original request was for antics and/or porn after Spock learns that McCoy Prime carried around Spock Prime's katra for a while, this is neither particularly humorous nor particularly smutty. It has Spock POV, though?
SUMMARY: Advancing a relationship with Leonard McCoy only seems logical, particularly after Spock hears that the good doctor carried his katra in another life.
