I cannot get out of my head the idea of a Spindle's End/Star Trek fusion, with Spock as Rosie and Bones as Narl (because *Karl Urban*!) and Jim as Peony. OMG, it would be epic. I may have to write this.

So here's the skinny: I started writing this Spock/McCoy story called "Heal Thyself," and I still absolutely adore the idea, but it's expanding in about eighteen new directions since I started writing it and I hate the title and there is no way the thing is going to be finished in five parts, so I'm restructuring the story and posting it in the same manner as my other (sadly neglected) WIP, which means one scene at a time, no beta, no crossposting, just whatever spills out of me that day. I'm editing and reposting the first two parts right now, and I'll make a note when new material starts appearing.

Without further ado:

We finally have internet again (yay!), although I spent most of the day on the road and am way too tired to do anything but leave this here; it will remain technically unfinished until morning, at which point I will not only edit and finish it but send off beta'd stories to the three people who are waiting for a response. (Sorry for the delay, guys!) I was kind of anxious to get this up so I can get back to "Heal Thyself," which has mutated from a five-part complete story to a five-part prologue to another story wherein Spock and McCoy steal the Galileo (with Kirk's tacit permission) and take off on a renegade mission to save the universe save Spock's mommy spread the spirit of free manlove.

Anyway. Story. And then: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

TITLE: Satisfactory
CHARACTERS: Spock/McCoy
NOTES: This was posted in part on st_xi_kink as Some Observations on Opposition in Human-Vulcan Relations, but the comment limit maxed out and along the way I had a better idea for a title and an ending. Although the original request was for antics and/or porn after Spock learns that McCoy Prime carried around Spock Prime's katra for a while, this is neither particularly humorous nor particularly smutty. It has Spock POV, though?
SUMMARY: Advancing a relationship with Leonard McCoy only seems logical, particularly after Spock hears that the good doctor carried his katra in another life.

NOTES: I love Spock/McCoy and I love Amanda (especially Diane Duane's Amanda), and it seemed like someone should write a fic with both of those elements, so...I did. I hadn't intended to post this prologue until I'd finished polishing part 1, but a couple of people expressed interest, so here it is. :)
SUMMARY: Bones is phobic, stubborn, temperamental, and maybe just a tick hung up on his absent family. Spock likes to pretend he's a green-blooded block of ice. Amanda is mostly just dead. Sometimes, though, things change.

CHARACTERS:  Kurogane/Fai
NOTES:  Inspired by the Rilo Kiley album "The Execution of All Things."  Before you read, take note - this story assumes 1) that Sakura, Syaoran, and Kurogane all lived through the final battle with Fei Wong Reed, while Fai did not; 2) that xxxHolic and X/1999 take place in the same world; and 3) that Yuuko & Kamui's land is called Japan, while Kurogane's is called Nihon. (Basically that's a cop-out so I can easily tell the countries apart, but anyway...)
