I feel like I'm brainwashing a lot of people into liking TBBT, but I refuse to feel guilt because obsession loves company (?) and, y'know, the show is only AWESOME. *g*
P & S do have this really balanced dynamic that I think she lacks with Leonard - it's clear that Sheldon is, in his own way, able to match her, but it sort of feels like she's dragging Leonard along sometimes. I think Leonard maybe feels like too much of a pushover for Penny? She's such a strong character, and I love her to bits because it'd be so easy for her to just be the dumb blond neighbor but she isn't, she is one of them, and idk, now I'm rambling.
(And not that I dislike Leonard! I just kind of want to take him home and pat him on the head and feed him cookies, not shove him in a closet with Penny and tell him to get over his OCD and just kiss her already, we can't stand the UST! K, [/rambling].)
